SEO for cleaning companies that fills your rota.

For UK cleaning firms who want the next regular, move-out clean, office contract, carpet job or window customer to find them on Google. We set up your profile, pages and reviews for each of those five customers. Local SEO and Google Business Profile work is paid on results: nothing upfront, and nothing to pay until the results we agree with you in writing, before we start, have been met.

  • No fee until the result written into our agreement is met
  • We work with one cleaning firm per area, never two
  • Sites built for cleaners in Birmingham, Derby and Nottingham

The closest we have: a valeter and a kitchen sprayer.

All client results

We built the websites for Adefem in Birmingham, eMobile Cleaning in Derby and Golden Heart Cleaning in Nottingham. None can show a fair figure yet: Golden Heart's portal holds a single month, and the other two have no figures there. We also built the website for The Prep Works, a laser cleaning firm in Yorkshire. The closest results we can show come from a mobile car valeter and a kitchen sprayer, neither of which cleans homes or offices. Both figures run from the first month we tracked to the best month since, using Google's complete monthly data. More trades are on SEO for tradesmen.

Neither firm cleans homes, offices, carpets or windows, and we won't pass either off as one. A call is a tap on the call button in the Google Business Profile, as Google counts it; clicks are visits from Google's results to the client's site.

Who searches for a cleaning company, and what do they type?

Five customers, each typing different words: a household after a weekly clean, a tenant with a check-out date, an office manager, someone with a stained sofa and someone whose windows need doing. Each decides on different things, so each needs its own page and its own place on your profile.

The search counts below are UK monthly figures from Google Ads Keyword Planner, pulled on 20 October 2026.

Regular house cleans

'House cleaner near me' was searched 5,400 times in September 2026 and 'domestic cleaner near me' 3,600. This customer is choosing who gets a key every week or fortnight. Their page answers that: what each visit covers, whether the same cleaner comes back, how keys are kept and which checks your cleaners hold.

End of tenancy

'End of tenancy cleaning' had 12,100 searches in September. The tenant has a check-out date and a deposit at stake, and landlords and letting agents book the same clean between lets. The page is written to the inventory, and says what happens if the agent finds a problem.

Offices and commercial premises

Far fewer searches: 390 for 'office cleaners near me' in September. Each is worth more, though. Advertisers bid over four times as much for that click as for 'house cleaner near me'. The buyer is an office or practice manager who wants a commercial page and references. Tenders are a separate route: our guide covers them.

Carpets, sofas and rugs

'Carpet cleaning near me' was searched 14,800 times in September. 'Upholstery cleaning near me' had 4,400 and 'sofa cleaning near me' 3,600, so a site with one carpet page misses a lot. Each page explains your method, the drying time, and which stains you will promise to shift and which you won't.

Windows

'Window cleaners near me' rose from 8,100 searches in December 2025 to 22,200 in April 2026, and was 14,800 in September. So far in 2026, April has been the busiest month. The page says how often you call, whether frames and sills are included and, if it's how you work, that you clean from the ground with a water-fed pole.

What is one regular customer worth to a cleaning firm?

Dozens of visits, which is why being found pays back long after the first clean. A weekly regular is 52 visits a year and a fortnightly one 26, from a single search. A window round comes back every few weeks, and an office contract is cleaned for as long as it runs.

So the sum that matters is what a full rota is worth, and how fast you can refill a slot when a regular moves away. Paid leads are bought one at a time; a place on the map keeps sending the next household at no charge per call.

One-off work has its own calendar on top. 'Oven cleaning near me' was searched 18,100 times in each of November, December and January last winter, against 8,100 in each of July and August 2026 (Keyword Planner). So an oven page, and profile posts about oven cleans, belong in place by the autumn.

How can a customer check a cleaner when there's no licence?

Mostly they can't, so the proof has to come from you. Search GOV.UK's licence finder for 'cleaner' and the only result is a window cleaner's licence for Scotland, which GOV.UK says most Scottish councils require. A domestic, end of tenancy, office or carpet cleaner has no licence number to show anyone.

So we put the checks a customer would make into your profile, your service pages and the words beside your quote form.

DBS: the level and the date

A householder cannot request a DBS check on a self-employed cleaner: the cleaner applies and shows the certificate. GOV.UK adds that a check has no official expiry date and is accurate on the day it was done. So the page names the level of check and when it was issued.

Insurance and staff, in writing

Say what you are insured for and offer the certificate, as Adefem does in Birmingham. Say whether your cleaners are employed or self-employed: Golden Heart Cleaning in Nottingham opens by saying its cleaners are DBS-checked and directly employed. We built both sites.

Windows from the ground

HSE tells window cleaning firms to avoid working at height wherever they reasonably can, and names telescopic water-fed poles as one way to do that. If that is how you work, the windows page should say so plainly.

WoolSafe for carpets

WoolSafe approves only firms that have cleaned carpets for at least five continuous years and passed its exam, and they must use its approved products on wool. If you hold it, the carpet page explains what it took, not just the logo.

Why is an end of tenancy page really about the deposit?

Because the tenant is booking a clean to get through a check-out, and cleaning is what deposits are most often fought over. The Tenancy Deposit Scheme says cleaning was the leading cause of the disputes it handled in 2024/25, a factor in 54% of cases (TDS).

The standard is set by the letting paperwork. TDS advises landlords and agents to send tenants a checklist about a month before the tenancy ends, then compare the check-out against the check-in inventory. Where that inventory records a professional clean, TDS's director of dispute resolution has written that the tenant must match it, and singled out the oven, shower or bath, fridge freezer, windows and floors. That is what your page sells.

It should never claim tenants must hire a professional: TDS calls that a myth, because tenants are generally not required to pay for professional cleaning. So the page works through the inventory room by room, names those problem areas, and says what happens if the agent flags something. On the Golden Heart site we built, that means a re-clean.

There is room in this search. A mobile search we ran from Birmingham on 20 October 2026 for 'end of tenancy cleaning' had nine unpaid results on the first page, below the map. Five were pages about other places, such as Derby, Doncaster and Bedford, and only one was about Birmingham.

Why does each kind of cleaning face a different map?

Because the firms you are up against change with the search. On 20 October 2026 we ran three phone searches, each set to a different city. The carpet cleaners in Nottingham's top three had 167, 618 and 1,200 Google reviews. The end of tenancy firms in Birmingham's had 25, 105 and 605. In Leeds, no office cleaner in the top three had more than 83.

So the work you chase sets the climb, and Google Maps SEO explains what puts a firm into those three places. One city proves nothing about yours, which is what the free analysis is for: it runs the searches you care about, in the towns you cover.

Paid listings chase the same customers. Cleaning, carpet cleaning and window cleaning services are all on Google's UK category list for Local Services Ads, which Google shows prominently and charges for per lead. It warns that regularly missing calls or messages may hurt your ad ranking: not easy with gloves on in a customer's bathroom. Your profile and pages keep working whatever you spend there. Running those ads for you is quoted separately.

What changes on your profile and your site?

Five jobs, every month, and you can check each one yourself:

  • One lead category. Google has separate categories for house, carpet and window cleaning, and its help pages say not to add one for every service. We lead with the work you most want, add others only where you do that work too, and list every service beneath. How to pick it
  • A page per customer. Regular cleans, end of tenancy, offices, carpets and upholstery, and windows, each in the words that customer types, with its own proof. What a page needs to rank
  • Reviews asked for, and answered. Every customer gets one simple request. Every review that arrives gets a reply, which is part of running your Google profile. How to ask for reviews
  • The same details everywhere. One business name, phone number and service area on Yell, Checkatrade, Facebook and any cleaning directory that lists you. Which UK listings matter
  • Google's own monthly figures. Your portal shows the calls, views and clicks that Google Business Profile and Search Console recorded that month. A flat month shows up as flat. How Google counts a call

Nothing upfront. Paid on results.

Local SEO and Google Business Profile work is paid on results. There is nothing to pay upfront: you pay nothing until the results we agree with you in writing, before we start, have been met.

Websites, ads and social media are quoted separately after the free analysis. How pay on results works

From first call to first result

  1. Free analysis

Tell us your trade and area. We record a short video of where you rank, who is above you and what would have to change. It is yours to keep.

  2. An honest answer

If your market is not winnable, we say so. If it is, we agree in writing what a result is and how it is measured, before anything starts.

  3. The work

Your Google Business Profile, the pages that need to rank, citations and reviews. One business per trade per area, so never your rival as well.

  4. You see every number

Clicks, calls and where you show up, in your own portal, straight from Google. You pay once the agreed results are met.

What people ask us

How much will SEO cost my cleaning business?

You won't find a price here, because building a round of regulars in one market town and chasing office contracts across a city take very different effort. We give you a figure when the free analysis is finished, and you are under no obligation. Local SEO and Google Business Profile work is paid on results: there is nothing to pay upfront, and nothing until the results we agree with you in writing, before we start, have been met. You're then billed month by month, with no minimum term. Walk away earlier and you owe nothing. Websites and ads are priced separately. Paying on results, explained

How long before more cleaning enquiries come in?

We can't name a week, and nobody honestly can. It turns on how many cleaning firms already hold the map where you work, how many reviews each one holds, and how much your profile and site need. The free analysis sizes that gap for each kind of cleaning you sell. Your portal tracks the calls and clicks month by month, and the waiting costs us, not you, for as long as the agreed result is still to come.

Will you also take on another cleaning company near me?

No. One cleaning firm per area works with us, and never your direct rival, so the company you keep losing quotes to can't sign up next to you. If one already works with us near you, we tell you before anything else.

Have you worked with cleaning companies before?

Yes, on their websites: Adefem in Birmingham, eMobile Cleaning in Derby and Golden Heart Cleaning in Nottingham. None of them has enough months of Google data yet for a fair before and after, which is why the proof above comes from car valeting and kitchen spraying, each labelled for what it is.

How should I advertise my cleaning business?

Put your effort first into things that charge nothing per enquiry: your Google profile, a page for every type of clean you sell, and a steady flow of reviews. If word of mouth or local Facebook groups bring in regulars, keep them going. Local Services Ads and lead sites charge for enquiries and stop the day you stop paying, though they can fill a quiet month. Ads are priced separately if you want us to run them. How the lead platforms charge

Can SEO win office and commercial cleaning contracts?

It can win private ones that start with a search: an office, surgery, salon or managing agent looking for a cleaner nearby. That takes a commercial page kept apart from your domestic work, proof from similar premises, and a profile that shows commercial jobs as well as homes. Public sector work mostly goes out to tender instead, which the guide to commercial tenders walks through.

I work from home. Do I have to put my address on Google?

No. Google's own example of a service-area business is a cleaning service, and it tells businesses that don't serve customers at their address to remove it and list the areas they cover (Google). The same page asks that the area sit within roughly two hours' drive of where you are based. Service area or address

Is my current website good enough to keep?

Often, yes. If someone else built it and it's sound, we keep it and improve it. If it's working against you, say it's slow on a phone or squeezes every type of clean onto one page, the free analysis tells you plainly. A new site is priced on its own: pay on results covers the SEO, not the build. Websites for tradesmen

Which cleaning searches could you win?

Send us the towns you cover and the cleaning you'd like more of: regulars, move-outs, offices, carpets or windows. We record a short video on how your firm shows up for those cleaning searches, which cleaners outrank you and why, and the fixes that would get your firm above them, then send it to you within two working days. It costs nothing and stays with you. If the cleaning work near you can't be won, you'll hear that too.
