For electricians and specialist firms who fit home and workplace chargers and would rather the driver rang them than a lead seller. We set up your Google profile so it reads as an installer, not a charging station, give each kind of install its own page and keep reviews arriving. Our local SEO and Google Business Profile work is paid on results: there is nothing to pay upfront, and you pay nothing until the results we agree with you in writing, before we start, have been met.
No upfront fee and no charge per enquiry. Paid on agreed results
One charger installer per area, so never your nearest rival too
No EV client yet, so the first installer in each area gets it
We don't work for an EV charger installer or an electrician yet, so none of these figures come from charger work. They come from businesses whose customers look like yours: a Leeds firm that quotes homeowners after a visit, as you do after a survey, and two motoring businesses whose customers are drivers. Each figure sets our first measured month against the best complete month that followed, in Google's own data.

None of these businesses installs chargers, and we won't present them as if they did. What we can offer instead is an open map: with no charger installer signed, every area is still free, and once an installer signs in an area, we turn down every other installer there.
WhatdoesanewEVdrivertypebefore booking an install?
Mostly the job, the price and the charger. "EV charger installation" is typed roughly 18,100 times a month across the UK, "ev charger installer near me" 3,600, "ev charger installation cost" 2,900 and "ev charger grant" 2,900. Keyword Planner averages these over the twelve months to the end of September 2026, UK only (Google Ads Keyword Planner).
Plenty of drivers pick the box before they pick the electrician. "Ohme EV charger" draws about 6,600 searches a month and "zappi charger" 2,400, and some search for a fitter by brand: "ohme installer" about 320, "hypervolt installer" 260 and "zappi installer" 90. If you fit those chargers, a page for each one can be found by that driver. A page that just says we install all makes can't.
It follows the number plates
"EV charger installation" reached 22,200 searches in October 2025, March 2026 and April 2026, and fell to 9,900 in December 2025. The busy months line up with the March and September plate changes. SMMT says September alone usually accounts for about one in seven of the year's new car registrations (SMMT).
More cars, every month
A record 99,201 battery electric cars were registered in September 2026, 28.3% of the market, and 454,947 in the first nine months of the year (SMMT). Under the Electric Car Grant, the seller takes up to £3,750 off the price of an eligible new EV, and the buyer doesn't apply for it (GOV.UK).
Businesses search in their own words
"Workplace charging scheme" gets about 590 searches a month. That search comes from a business, not a householder, so workplace and car park installs need a page written for whoever approves the spend, with the grant terms, the socket count and the survey.
WhydoesGoogle'smapshowpublicchargersinstead of installers?
Because "EV charger" can mean somewhere to plug in as easily as someone to fit one, and Google often guesses the first. We pulled phone results from Google on 21 October 2026 for "ev charger installation near me" in Leeds and "ev charger installer" in Bristol. Both map packs showed three public charging stations, among them a Tesla Supercharger, InstaVolt and Shell Recharge sites, and no installers at all.
So your profile has to leave Google in no doubt. "Electric vehicle charging station contractor" is a Google category of its own, separate from the charging station category the forecourts use. Near Leeds, eight of the first ten claimed profiles we pulled with that category carried it only as an extra, behind Electrician or Solar energy company. Whether it should be your main category depends on how much of your work is chargers, and the free analysis looks at that for your area. Choosing the main category
Below the map in Leeds came one local installer, then directories and installers' pages for other towns, Manchester, Cardiff and Selby among them. Checkatrade's listing showed 32 EV charger installation services in Leeds, beside TrustATrader, MyJobQuote and The Renewable Energy Hub. An installer with a strong page for the town it actually works in can sit among them, and that page is the part we build.
WhatdoesaboughtEVleadcostnext to an enquiry of your own?
A bought lead is charged per enquiry, per placement or per month, depending on the seller. An enquiry from your own profile or website carries no fee per enquiry at all. The page that ranked first for "ev charger installer leads" on 21 October 2026 is aimed at installers, and so are most of the pages beneath it.
Here is how three of them describe their terms, in their own words. Lead Pronto quotes EV charger leads from £15 and calls that a guide price that depends on your sector and area; it says it has three models for distributing leads and no contract. Leads Everyday says its EV leads are exclusive, sent to your phone and never shared. Renewables Excellence runs a free directory listing, with a featured placement at £49 a month.
If a seller's jobs more than pay for what it charges, keep buying. The difference with your own enquiries is who sets the questions. Your charger page can ask, before anyone books a survey, whether the driver has off-street parking, owns or rents, lives in a flat, and where the meter and consumer unit are. Those answers decide the grant, the cable run and whether the job is worth the drive. Compare what each source brings in, month by month, in your portal. How the trade platforms charge
The ones you actually hold, named exactly, because drivers and businesses check. Each one is a reason to pick you that a lead seller's form can't carry.
OZEV authorisation
OZEV accepts NAPIT, NICEIC, SELECT or OFTEC registration, or ECA membership, for home chargepoints, and only NAPIT, NICEIC, SELECT or ECA for commercial ones. Installers who haven't claimed a grant in two years are taken off the list (GOV.UK). The OZEV logo is for government use only, so the page uses words, not the logo.
The government's own finder
GOV.UK runs a postcode search of OZEV-approved installers, and authorised installers are added to it automatically (GOV.UK). It is one more place a driver meets your business name, so the name and number there should match your Google profile.
Manufacturer schemes
Some charger makers run their own installer networks. myenergi's Product Champion scheme asks for competent person scheme membership, qualifications such as the 18th Edition, insurance and its own training, and lists qualified leads from its installer map as a benefit (myenergi). Ohme offers approved installers training, including CPD-accredited sessions (Ohme).
Smart charger rules
Since 30 June 2022, a charger sold for a home or workplace in Great Britain has had to be smart: default charging hours outside peak times, which the owner may alter, plus a randomised delay. Northern Ireland sits outside the rules (GOV.UK). Naming the compliant models you fit gives a driver comparing quotes one more reason to trust yours.
Howshouldyourpageshandlethegrantsand the network operator?
Plainly, and with an eye on 31 March 2027. OZEV has extended five chargepoint grants to that date, calling it their final year, at £500 per socket for homes, landlords and workplaces (GOV.UK). One household grant is for flat owners living in the flat and tenants of any home, provided they have off-street parking. Another pays towards a cross-pavement solution, such as a charging gully, where the street is the only place to park. Landlords can claim for up to 200 sockets, and businesses, charities and public bodies up to 40 under the Workplace Charging Scheme (GOV.UK).
Those grants are searched for now, so they belong on your pages now. But a site built only around them loses its main selling point in April 2027. So we build the pages around what stays true after it: the car, the charger, the driveway, the flat, the car park. The grant section is the part that will need taking down.
The network operator is the other worry. SSEN, for example, lets the installer fit first and notify within 28 days where the property's total demand is 60 amps or less, but needs an application and approval before installing above that (SSEN). If you deal with the notification for the customer, the page should say so. It's one less thing for them to look up, and one more reason to book you over a cheaper quote.
A profile that reads as an installer. The right categories, each type of install added as its own service, and photos of chargers on real walls and driveways, not stock images of cars plugged in.
A page for each kind of install. Home chargers, flats and rented homes, landlords, workplaces, and a page for each brand you fit, each answering the questions a driver asks before booking. What a service page needs
Areas you can reach in a day. If customers never come to you, Google asks for the address to be hidden and the areas you cover listed. Your ranking is still worked out from the verified address, so the work goes into the towns within reach. Service area or address
Reviews from every install. Each customer gets a simple request, and each review gets a reply. When a customer happens to mention their car and charger, the next driver with the same car notices. Asking without the awkwardness

Whatpeopleask us
Do you already work for an EV charger installer?
No. Nor for an electrician. The figures above are from other trades and say so. If another firm tells you it does SEO for charger installers, ask to see that installer's own Google figures, with the months and the source.
What does it cost?
There's no price list, because the work depends on how many installers, national firms and directories compete for your searches. You see the free analysis first, then a quote, and neither commits you. Local SEO and Google Business Profile work is paid on results: nothing upfront, and nothing until the results agreed with you in writing, before we start, have been met. Then you're billed monthly, for as long as the work earns its keep, and you can end it in any month. Walk away before then and no bill ever arrives. Website or ad work is priced separately. The terms in full
How long before the enquiries pick up?
Nobody honest can name the month. Google moves at its own speed, and the gap depends on how long the installers near you have been collecting reviews and where your profile stands today. You can watch each month's calls and clicks in the portal, and no bill arrives before the agreed result.
Will you work for the installer down the road as well?
No. We take one charger installer per area. No installer has signed with us so far, so whoever signs first in an area holds it while they remain a client.
I buy leads already. Should I stop?
Not while they pay for themselves. Run your own profile and pages alongside them and compare: note where each new customer came from and check the Google calls in your portal each month. Your free analysis names whoever is taking the charger searches in your area today.
We're not OZEV approved. Is this still worth doing?
Yes. OZEV approval is what lets an installer claim the grants, and plenty of drivers can't claim one anyway: someone who owns their house and parks on its drive can't claim either household grant. Your pages just mustn't hint at approval you don't have. If you apply later, OZEV accepts NAPIT, NICEIC, SELECT or OFTEC registration, or ECA membership, for home installs.
What happens to my pages when the grants end?
Most of them carry on as they are. The five OZEV grants are funded to 31 March 2027, so we keep the grant wording in a section that can come out cleanly. The pages are built around chargers, cars, homes and workplaces, which drivers will keep searching for after the grants stop.
Do you work with commercial and workplace installers?
Yes. Businesses search differently, for the Workplace Charging Scheme, for car park and fleet charging, and the buyer is a business rather than a householder. That work gets its own pages, written for whoever signs off the quote, and named with the registration OZEV accepts for commercial work.
Do I need a new website?
Usually not. If the site you have is sound, we improve it rather than replace it, whichever firm built it. If it's the reason drivers aren't booking, the video will show it, and rebuilding is priced on its own, not paid on results. Websites for electricians
