Plastering work from Google, one wall at a time.

For UK plasterers and renderers who want homeowners finding them, not a directory. We sort out your Google profile, put skimming, replastering, Artex, ceilings and render on pages of their own, and see that every job ends with a review request. Local SEO and Google Business Profile work is paid on results: there is nothing to pay upfront, and you pay nothing until the results we agree with you in writing, before we start, have been met.

  • No fee upfront, and none until our written targets are hit
  • One plasterer per area, so never the firm down the road too
  • 14,800 a month search "plasterers near me" in the UK

We don't have a plasterer on our books yet, so we won't show figures that pretend otherwise. The closest is GS Renovation, a London firm that fits steels, removes structural walls and renovates houses, work that ends with every wall and ceiling needing plaster. The second is ColourHaus, a Leeds spray painting firm, another finishing trade selling to homeowners. Both numbers set our opening month of Google data against its best complete month since.

Neither client is a plasterer. GS Renovation is a renovation and structural firm, and ColourHaus sprays kitchens, uPVC and doors. K&B Screeding in Slough, which lays floor screed, has a website we built, though too little data yet to show figures. Each call shown is someone tapping the call button on the profile, by Google's tally (more on that count).

Is rendering a different fight from plastering?

Yes. Homeowners search for render by system and by brand, and the season is tighter. "K Rend" is searched about 8,100 times a month across Britain and "monocouche render" about 3,600, more than "rendering near me" itself. K Rend searches hit 9,900 a month in spring 2026 and fell to 4,400 in December 2025 (Keyword Planner).

The manufacturer sends people your way. K Rend's own FAQ says it is "a manufacturer only", that it doesn't sell to homeowners, and that it can give them a list of recommended applicators, whose contract is with the homeowner directly. So a homeowner who has chosen the render still has to choose you.

The same FAQ says K Rend should go on at "5 degrees C and rising", not in damp, very windy weather or direct sunlight. So your render pages should be live, with last year's finished houses on them, before March.

Name the system

K Rend describes its thin coat range as made for cement or insulation boards, and its scraped texture range as thicker coats for brick or block. A homeowner who has read that wants to see you name the system, the texture and the colour on each finished job, not just "rendering".

Old finish first

K Rend says a painted or pebbledashed house has to be stripped back to a stable surface before rendering. That is the part of the price a homeowner doesn't expect, so a page with photos of the strip-back explains your quote before you give it.

Colour photos

Through-coloured render is bought on colour. K Rend lists 20 standard colours in each of its main ranges and sends samples. Photos of real houses labelled with the colour name do more on your profile than a close-up of a trowel.

Which questions should your site answer before the phone rings?

The ones customers type before they ring anyone: how long it takes to dry, whether the Artex is safe, and what it costs.

Drying time. "How long does plaster take to dry" gets about 4,400 searches a month. British Gypsum's data sheet for Thistle MultiFinish says the plaster should be "thoroughly dry before decorating", with a coat of permeable paint allowed in the meantime, and gives no number of days. So your page should say what you tell customers on your own jobs: what affects it, when the decorator can come in, and the mist coat.

Price. "How much does a plasterer charge" is searched roughly 1,000 times a month. You don't have to print figures, but a page that walks through what pushes the price up (hacking off, bonding, beads, the number of visits) answers it either way. Our free plaster calculator and plasterboard calculator give a quick materials check.

How do you win the ceiling after a leak?

By being findable for the damage, not just the trade, and by making the insurance side easy. After a burst pipe or a bath overflow, the owner searches for the ceiling, and that search is shared with firms that do water damage restoration.

Those firms have a paid route you don't. In the UK, Google's Local Services Ads take "Water damage services" but not plastering or rendering (Google, checked 21 October 2026). So for a plasterer, the route onto that search is a ceiling repair page and a profile that lists the service.

When the owner is claiming on their home insurance, dated photos of the damage and an itemised quote make the claim easier to put together. A page that says you quote for insurance work and shows a ceiling before and after makes you the easy choice. If the ceiling had Artex on it, HSE has a separate task sheet for clearing up a collapsed textured ceiling.

Who are you up against for "plasterers near me"?

Directories under the map, and a handful of local plasterers in it. We checked "plasterers near me" on a phone in Manchester on 21 October 2026. The three map results were local plasterers with 15, 42 and 61 Google reviews. Of the ten ordinary results beneath, seven were directories and listing sites. The top map profile showed just two photos, and its Book button led to its Checkatrade page.

That is the opening. The map is won by plasterers, not platforms, and the reviews needed there are within reach of a one-van firm. If you pay for Checkatrade or MyBuilder, keep them while the work covers the fee (what the alternatives cost), but the map is where a customer can ring you with no one taking a cut.

Trade bodies help a little, and only if they are true. The Federation of Plastering and Drywall Contractors merged with the Association of Interior Specialists to form FIS, which now has over 600 members and a member directory (FIS). If you are a member, your entry should link to your site with the same name and number as your Google profile. If not, nothing on your site will suggest otherwise.

Each month on your account, here is what gets done.

Five pieces of work, every month, pointed at the plastering you most want. SEO for tradesmen sets out the approach we use for every trade. If you take on whole renovations, our page for builders covers that side, and decorators are covered on the painters page.

Pages by job

Skimming, full replaster, Artex, ceilings, coving, dry lining and each render system you use. Each answers drying time, mess and what moves the price, with photos from your own jobs. What a job page needs

Photos that show the work

A finished skim looks the same in every photo. Before, during and after shots show what you did: the blown wall hacked off, the boards taped, the beads on, then the finish. Raking light across a wall shows how flat it is. Photos that win jobs

Straight answers
If your market is not winnable, the free analysis says so.

Websites, ads and social media are quoted separately after the free analysis. How pay on results works

From first call to first result

  1. Free analysis

Tell us your trade and area. We record a short video of where you rank, who is above you and what would have to change. It is yours to keep.

  2. An honest answer

If your market is not winnable, we say so. If it is, we agree in writing what a result is and how it is measured, before anything starts.

  3. The work

Your Google Business Profile, the pages that need to rank, citations and reviews. One business per trade per area, so never your rival as well.

  4. You see every number

Clicks, calls and where you show up, in your own portal, straight from Google. You pay once the agreed results are met.

What people ask us

What does SEO cost a plasterer?

We don't publish a price, because it depends on how many plasterers and renderers are chasing your area and how strong their profiles are. The free analysis shows that, and you hear the fee on that first call, with no obligation. Local SEO and Google Business Profile work is paid on results: there is nothing to pay upfront, and you pay nothing until the results we agree with you in writing, before we start, have been met. From the agreed result onwards it is a monthly fee, ended whenever you choose. Quit beforehand and nothing is invoiced. Websites, adverts and social media get separate prices. The pay-on-results terms

When will the extra plastering enquiries start?

There's no date we'd stand behind. Google sets the pace, and so do the plasterers above you. What the free analysis shows is the size of the gap and which jobs are closest to winnable. We'd also time the work to the season: render pages need to be live before spring, skimming pages before the summer peak. You aren't billed while you wait.

Will you also take on the plasterer down the road?

No. One plasterer per area, and any rival who asks while you're with us is turned away. Where a rival plasterer got to us first, you hear that on day one.

I mostly do render. Is this still for me?

Yes, and the pages are different. Renderers are found by system and brand names such as K Rend and monocouche, and the work is seasonal because render shouldn't go on in cold or damp weather. Your main Google category and your pages are set around render, with photos of finished houses labelled by system and colour.

I subcontract to builders. Is SEO worth it for me?

Maybe not. If builders fill your diary all year at rates you're happy with, keep your money, and the analysis will tell you as much. Where SEO helps a subcontracting plasterer is the private work in between: the ceilings after leaks, the Artex rooms and the house renders that pay better and fill the gaps between sites.

Can a plasterer use Google's Local Services Ads?

No. As of October 2026, plastering and rendering are missing from the job types Google accepts for UK Local Services Ads, though water damage services, handymen and general contractors are (Google). On Google, that leaves pay-per-click search ads, which we quote separately.

Should my website say how long plaster takes to dry?

Yes. It's one of the most searched plastering questions, at about 4,400 searches a month, and British Gypsum gives no fixed number of days, only that the plaster must be thoroughly dry before decorating. Say what you tell your own customers, what slows it down and when they can paint. It saves you the phone call and it earns you the search.

Will you replace my website?

Not if it's sound. Whether a mate built it or a big agency did, we keep it and add the job pages it lacks. If the site is costing you work, the video will show why, and a rebuild is priced separately and isn't paid on results. What we build

Skims, ceilings, Artex or render: whose phone rings for them?

Give us your town and the plastering you want more of. Within two working days a short recording arrives of the local map as a homeowner sees it: your spot on it, the plasterers and directories sitting above you, and which fixes would lift you over them. Free, and yours to keep. An area that can't be won gets an honest no.
