For plumbers, electricians, roofers and builders who want a website that brings in work, not a template with the name swapped. We build it for the customer holding a phone, with a page Google can rank for each job you sell. The site has its own quote, given after the free analysis, and the local SEO built on top of it is paid on results.

The figures come from Google and cover everything we do for each client, so they belong to the site and the Google Business Profile together, not to the website alone. Each figure runs from the first month we tracked to the best month since, using Google's complete monthly data, so the client can check it for themselves.

We have not yet built a site for a plumbing or electrical contractor, so neither trade appears here. The closest work, and the roofing site's first two months, are described in the sections above.
Because the price follows what it takes to win your area, and the free analysis is how we find that out. A sole trader with two services in a quiet town needs far less than a firm with six services up against names that have ranked for years. A website is not paid on results. The build is quoted separately, and you see the figure before any work starts.
About half the ranking pages we studied for these searches publish a price, and when we searched on 19 October 2026, Google's AI summary listed several sellers' prices too. A low headline figure often buys a template with your name dropped in: one services page, wording that would fit any trade site in the country, stock photos and a contact form. It looks finished. It gives Google nothing to rank and a stranger no reason to pick you. We have written up the usual reasons small business sites don't rank locally.
If you work alone, offer one service and have a full diary, a tidy DIY site may be enough. Our comparison of Wix, Squarespace and WordPress for trades will help you choose. If you want us to build it, the quote comes down to five things:
Two jobs at once. It has to rank, so the customer finds you, and convince, so they ring you instead of going back to the results. These are the parts we build in, with examples from live sites we made. The owner's checklist, including what to skip, is in what a tradesman website actually needs.
High on every page and within reach of a thumb, because someone in a cold house in January will not scroll for it. Rescue Tyres and EliteShires also have a WhatsApp button beside it.
When Norwich Tyres had a page for tyres and nothing else, Google showed the garage for tyres and nothing else. Once MOTs, air conditioning and wheel alignment each had a page, it began to appear for those searches too. Our guide to structuring service pages so they rank shows how.
Registration numbers linked to the register they come from, a link through to your Google reviews and, for a limited company, the company number. Each one should open a record the customer can read, not just show a logo.
Your roofs, your bathrooms, your kitchens, each captioned with the job and the town. A stock photo only proves you can buy stock photos.
Google indexes and ranks the mobile version of a site (Google Search Central), so we design for a phone on mobile data first. Pages are checked against Google's Core Web Vitals, its measures of loading speed, responsiveness and visual stability.
Short, and in the order you'd ask on the phone. Park Royal Tyres' form starts with the number plate. Rescue Tyres' asks for a name, a number and what you need, then rings back to agree a price and an arrival time.
If you do gas work, a Gas Safe logo on its own proves little, because anyone can paste one onto a page. Put your Gas Safe business registration number beside it, under the trading name you registered. Gas Safe Register's brand rules allow the logo and the number to be used only with that registered name, and they count websites as marketing material (brand enforcement policy).
The number also lets a customer check you from the sofa: texting Gas and a business registration number to 85080 brings back a reply saying whether it is registered (HSE). A badge anyone can check is worth more than a page of promises.
Three more things belong on a plumbing site, and SEO for plumbers covers the search side:
The full guide to what a plumbing site needs, page by page, is on websites for plumbers.
Tell customers what a registered electrician gives them, because the badge alone doesn't. In England, Approved Document P makes three kinds of electrical job notifiable: adding a circuit, swapping the consumer unit, and adding to or altering circuits in what it calls a special location, which includes the space round a bath or shower. A registered competent person can self-certify all three.
Within 30 days, the installer or their scheme must hand whoever lives there a Building Regulations compliance certificate and let building control know. An installer who is not registered has to go through building control or a third-party certifier instead. So the consumer unit page should say plainly that the certificate comes with the job.
Then make the registration easy to check. The Registered Competent Person Electrical search lets householders in England and Wales look up an electrician by company name (Electrical Competent Person). NICEIC tells customers to check even when its logo is on the van or the website, because some rogue traders display it without being certified (NICEIC). It also warns that a name which doesn't match its records can hide a registered business, so use the exact trading name your scheme holds.
Landlords are worth a page to themselves. Private landlords in England must have the electrical installation inspected and tested at least every five years (legislation.gov.uk), and 2025 rules extended that to social landlords (GOV.UK). An EICR page, for the electrical installation condition report, brings landlord and letting agent work back on a five-year clock.
The nearest we have built is the site for EliteShires in Harrow, a landlord-certificate firm rather than an electrical contractor. It gives each certificate its own page, under a landlord's calendar: gas safety every 12 months, the EICR every five years. There are no figures to show for it. For the search side, see local SEO for electricians.
Each page an electrician's site needs is set out on websites for electricians.
A smart-looking site proves nothing on its own, because rogue roofers have them too. Aberdeenshire Council's Trading Standards team says rogue traders offering roofing are using "social media, professional-looking websites and some trader platforms to gain work" (Aberdeenshire Council, July 2025). So a roofer's site has to carry what a rogue trader can't fake.
That means a company number that checks out on Companies House, and scheme memberships the homeowner can find on each scheme's own register. It means reviews with a history behind them, and finished roofs photographed and labelled with the area. The same warning describes callers who say they have spotted missing tiles or blocked gutters, then press for money upfront. The Bournemouth Roofing & Building site we built answers that on its home page: an itemised written quote, and a photo and a price before any extra work.
Then use the re-roofing page to explain the rules. When more than half of a roof is renovated, Building Regulations require the whole roof to meet current insulation standards where that is feasible (legislation.gov.uk). The homeowner also needs a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate, which the NFRC's scheme calls essential when they come to sell (NFRC Competent Person Scheme). If you belong to that scheme, which is on the government's list, say so, and say what it means: you self-certify the work, building control is told for them, and they also get ten years of insurance backing on the workmanship.
The Bournemouth site's Google data covers two months so far, which is too early to call a result. For the search side of roofing, see SEO for roofers.
Websites, ads and social media are quoted separately after the free analysis. Local SEO and Google Business Profile work is paid on results. There is nothing to pay upfront: you pay nothing until the results we agree with you in writing, before we start, have been met.
Tell us your trade and area. We record a short video of where you rank, who is above you and what would have to change. It is yours to keep.
If your market is not winnable, we say so. If it is, we agree in writing what a result is and how it is measured, before anything starts.
Your Google Business Profile, the pages that need to rank, citations and reviews. One business per trade per area, so never your rival as well.
Clicks, calls and where you show up, in your own portal, straight from Google. Any SEO on top is paid once the agreed results are met.
We don't publish a figure, because the price follows the job: how many services need a page, how many towns you work in, whether there are photos to work from and how strong your competition is. You get a quote after the free analysis, before any work starts. When you compare quotes, compare the second year as well as the first, and ask what happens to the site if you stop paying.
No. The website is quoted on its own after the free analysis, and so are ads and social media. Local SEO and Google Business Profile work is paid on results: there is nothing to pay upfront, and you pay nothing until the results we agree with you in writing, before we start, have been met.
The domain is yours. If we register it for you, we transfer it into your name on request once everything owed is paid. Once the fees for them are paid, you can use the words, images and other content we create for your business, during and after working with us. Our own software, templates and methods stay ours.
You can stop whenever you choose, in your client portal or with an email, and it takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Once everything owed is paid, we give you a copy of the site's content and files on request and help you move it to another host. We stop hosting it 30 days after the services end unless we agree otherwise.
Those platforms can bring work, but your profile sits on their site, under their rules. Your own website is what your Google Business Profile links to, and the one place your photos, credentials and contact details are yours to control. Platforms also change hands or close. Rated People Limited entered voluntary liquidation on 16 September 2026 (Gazette notice).
Yes, and for a sole trader with one or two services in one town it can be enough. Whichever builder you use, the site needs the same things: a number that dials when pressed, your own photos, credentials a customer can check, and a separate page for every service. That last part takes the most time to do well, and it is the part Google ranks.
Not by itself. A good site gives Google pages to rank and gives customers a reason to ring. Where you appear also depends on your Google Business Profile, your reviews and the sites linking to yours, which Google counts towards prominence (Google). The strength of the competition near you matters too. That side is local SEO for tradesmen and Google Business Profile management, both paid on results. The free analysis shows how hard your area is before you spend anything, and if it cannot be won, we say so.
Yes, if it is sound, even if we did not build it. If your site already brings in calls, replacing it risks losing pages that rank. The analysis video shows whether yours needs fixing, extending or rebuilding, and the quote follows from that. The local SEO can start on the site you have.
Not in your area. We take on one business per trade per area, so while you are a client, a competitor in your trade and patch is turned away, whether they want a website or local SEO.
We check your website as well as your Google profile, so you know what the site needs, if anything, before anyone quotes for it. If the one you have is doing its job, we will say so.
