For UK roofing companies that want homeowners to ring them direct, instead of paying a platform for every enquiry. We work on your Google profile, your site's pages and your reviews, so the person with a leak or a tired flat roof finds you. Local SEO and Google Business Profile work is paid on results: nothing upfront, and nothing to pay until the results we agree with you in writing, before we start, have been met.

GS Renovation and ColourHaus are trades homeowners judge much as they judge a roofer, on photos of finished work and on reviews. Every figure runs from the first month we tracked to the best month since, using Google's complete monthly data.

Read the full storyBournemouth Roofing & Building is a new client, and we built its website. August and September 2026 are the only full months we can show. Search Console shows 18 clicks in August and 41 in September, and calls from the Google Business Profile were 5 in each month. Read it as an early two-month result, not a long-run one. We do not have a roofer on camera yet.
In one of two ways. A leak sends someone to Google in a hurry, looking for a number to ring. A new roof or a flat roof replacement gets priced and compared first, through cost pages, photos and reviews, before anyone is asked to quote.
There is plenty of searching to win. "Roofer near me" averages 33,100 searches a month in the UK and "roof repair near me" 9,900. These and the other monthly search counts on this page are UK figures for October 2025 to September 2026 from Google Ads Keyword Planner.
Water is coming in, and the homeowner wants a number and some sign you will pick up. Your profile needs a call button, opening hours that are true, and a call back when you are on a scaffold and miss it.
Priced before it is booked. "New roof cost" and "roof replacement cost" are each searched about 1,900 times a month, so the question gets its own page on your site, with a straight answer.
Researched by system. "Rubber roof" gets about 14,800 searches a month, "EPDM roofing" 8,100 and "GRP roofing" 6,600. A flat roof page that names the systems you fit gives Google something to match those searches to.
All year, with leaks heaviest in the wet months. "Roofer near me" never fell below 22,200 UK searches a month in the year to September 2026. Leak searches follow the weather: in every year from 2022 to 2025, UK interest in "roof leak" peaked between October and February and was lowest between April and August (Google Trends).
A named storm lands on top of that. The busiest week of the past year for UK "roof leak" searches was 9 to 15 November 2025 (Google Trends), the week of Storm Claudia, which the Met Office lists among the storms that affected the UK, on 14 November.
The pricing questions keep the same calendar. Searches for "new roof cost" peaked between November and February in every year from 2022 to 2025 too (Google Trends). So the wet months bring the repair calls and the re-roof research together, and we plan your pages and profile around them.
By comparing a few and checking what they can see. The NFRC's advice to homeowners is to have up to three roofing contractors look at the job and quote, and Bromley Council's trading standards team warned in February 2026 that roofing scams often begin with "seemingly low-cost repairs". So you are weighed against other roofers, by someone already wary, before the phone rings.
Before they ring, all they have is what they can see. So we work on that: recent reviews, photos of roofs you have actually done, a real address and the owner's name. Picking up the phone is your half of the job.
Accreditation helps where you hold it, and which scheme matters depends on the job: the Competent Person Scheme counts on a re-roof, not on a slipped tile. Whatever you hold goes in your profile description and on the pages for the work it covers, linked to your listing in that scheme's directory.
The UK's largest roofing trade association, established in 1892. Contractor members are inspected before they join and every three years after, are reviewed for their financial standing and must show employers' and public liability insurance.
One of two schemes the government authorises for replacing roof coverings; NAPIT runs the other. Replacing 50% or more of a roof in England and Wales has to be notified to building control. A registered roofer can self-certify the work instead, and the scheme sends the homeowner a compliance certificate no more than 30 days after the job finishes.
If you are in the NFRC, you already meet TrustMark's qualification criteria. TrustMark is endorsed by government for work done on people's homes. Its registered firms back their work with a guarantee of at least two years, carry financial protection in case they stop trading, and give homeowners a route to an ombudsman.
The monthly work we do across the trades, set up around how roofing is searched and bought.
Where your website is losing calls, we say so. For Bournemouth Roofing & Building, we made the phone the answer to a leak: the first screen of the site we built asks anyone with water coming in to phone instead of filling in the form, and says a missed call gets rung back. Websites are quoted separately: see websites for tradesmen.
We manage it with roofing as the main category, every job listed as a service, a service area you really cover, and photos from real jobs with the scaffold up and the old covering off. Photos are for the homeowner deciding whether to ring, not a ranking factor Google names.
Repairs, new roofs, flat roofs by system, chimneys, leadwork, fascias and gutters, each on its own page that answers the cost and "do I need it" questions honestly. One service to a page gives Google a clear match for each search.
We send a simple review request to every customer at sign-off, and answer each review that comes in. Homeowners look at how recent reviews are, not only at how many there are.
The same business name, phone number and address on Yell, Facebook, Checkatrade and any roofing directory you belong to. We track down the old entries that disagree, such as a trading name you stopped using or the mobile from your old van.
Every month the portal shows the calls Google counted from your profile and the clicks your site got from search, so you can check our work against Google's own figures rather than a report we wrote. How Google counts a call.
Usually a fee per lead or per click, at a price someone else sets. Checkatrade, MyBuilder and Bark each charge in their own way, which our comparison sets out, and Google's Local Services Ads, which list roofers as a UK category, charge per lead.
Search ads charge before anyone rings. In Google Ads data, the average click costs advertisers about £9 on "emergency roofer near me" and about £4 on "roofer near me", whether or not the person calls. Those are Google's average cost-per-click figures, pulled on 19 October 2026 and converted from dollars at the Bank of England's rate for 16 October 2026.
A click from the map or the ordinary results is free, and a ranking carries on through the months the ads are paused. Our SEO work for roofers is paid on results: no fee is due until the results agreed with you in writing have been met. Keep any platform that pays its way.
How far from your yard you still show up, and who takes the roofing searches where you don't. It comes as a short video within two working days, and it is yours to keep either way.
Local SEO and Google Business Profile work is paid on results. There is nothing to pay upfront: you pay nothing until the results we agree with you in writing, before we start, have been met.
Websites, ads and social media are quoted separately after the free analysis. How pay on results works
Tell us your trade and area. We record a short video of where you rank, who is above you and what would have to change. It is yours to keep.
If your market is not winnable, we say so. If it is, we agree in writing what a result is and how it is measured, before anything starts.
Your Google Business Profile, the pages that need to rank, citations and reviews. One business per trade per area, so never your rival as well.
Clicks, calls and where you show up, in your own portal, straight from Google. You pay once the agreed results are met.
After the free analysis you get a figure for your area, and you can turn it down. Local SEO and Google Business Profile work is paid on results: nothing upfront, and nothing to pay until the results we agree with you in writing, before we start, have been met. Once that result is met, you pay month by month, for as long as you want to stay. Leave earlier and you owe us nothing. Websites and ads are quoted separately. Our guide to SEO pricing explains how agencies usually charge.
A date would be a guess, so we do not give one. Your starting point decides most of it: how complete your profile is, how your reviews compare with the roofers around you, and whether your site has separate pages for repairs, re-roofs and flat roofs. The analysis shows that gap. Before any work starts, we agree in writing what a result means for you, and you can watch your clicks and calls move in your portal each month.
No. We take one roofer per area, and once you are a client, any competing roofer who asks is turned down. If a rival already holds your area, that comes up in the first conversation.
Look for real client results that name the months and where the numbers came from. Expect a straight answer on cost, and on whether they also work for the roofer down the road. Walk away from a promise of page one by a date, or a long contract. Ask to see the numbers in Google's own tools, because a screenshot of a report proves very little.
Usually, yes. We take on sites someone else built and improve them, provided they are sound. If yours is not, we say it needs rebuilding, and a new one is quoted, not paid on results. Our websites page covers what we build.
Not while they bring in jobs that pay. A ranking keeps working whether or not a subscription renews or an ad runs, so it can sit alongside both while you compare what each one brings in. The analysis shows who takes the roofing searches near you now, which is what to weigh against what you pay the platforms.
Yes, mostly through your Google profile. Someone with water coming in wants to ring, and the call button on a map listing is the shortest route from a search to a booked visit. That takes opening hours that are true, a call back when you miss one, and a post when a storm is named saying whether you can take emergency work. It never means claiming round-the-clock cover you do not offer.
No. Membership helps homeowners trust you, and we make full use of it if you have it, but plenty of good roofers are not members. We never suggest, on your profile or your site, that you hold an accreditation you do not.
Yes. Our Bournemouth client does roofing, brickwork, plastering and driveways. Each kind of work gets its own pages and its own services on the profile, with roofing as the main category if it is most of what you do. SEO for builders covers the building side.
Tell us your town and the roofing jobs you most want. Inside two working days, you will have a short video of the map where you work: who takes the leak and re-roof searches now, and what would put you ahead of them. If another roofer near you already works with us, or the area cannot be won, we tell you that instead.
