For independent garages, mechanics, MOT centres, tyre shops, mobile tyre fitters and valeters who would rather be booked direct than through a booking site that bills them for it. We build up your Google profile, give the jobs you want more of their own pages and keep reviews coming. Local SEO and Google Business Profile work is paid on results, so there is nothing to pay upfront and nothing until the results we agree with you in writing, before we start, have been met.

Park Royal Tyres' clicks from Google rose 236% from June to August 2026 (Search Console), and Fast Tyre's calls from the Google Business Profile went from 33 to 45 a month over June to August 2026. Park Royal's calls figure covers June to July 2026, two months, too short a stretch to call a lasting result.
The job they need doing, often followed by "near me". "MOT near me" gets about 110,000 searches a month across the UK, "mechanic near me" 74,000 and "car service near me" 22,200. Every job is a separate search, so every job needs a page of its own on your site and a matching service on your Google profile.
The word garage on its own does very little. When we looked up "garage" on Google Maps for Leeds on 20 October 2026, seven of the first 20 results were car parks. Search counts here come from Google Ads Keyword Planner, as UK averages per month for October 2025 to September 2026.
A newer car can come to you instead of the dealer. The CMA's 2023 guidance says a warranty that depends on servicing only within the dealer network is likely to break competition law, and the Order behind it is meant to give independent repairers the repair information, tools and training dealers get. Your servicing page should say so.
Air con regas is a summer job. "Air con regas near me" went from about 1,300 searches in December 2025 to 74,000 in June 2026. Batteries run the other way: the busiest month for UK searches for "car battery" fell between November and January in all four years from 2022 to 2025 (Google Trends).
Drivers search for the repair itself. "DPF cleaning near me" gets about 9,900 searches a month, "clutch replacement near me" 3,600 and "car diagnostics near me" 2,900. A repair with its own page can be found for that exact search. A single page headed Services has to stand in for all of them.
Because new cars arrive in two waves. Number plates change in March and September, and new registrations usually peak when they do (DfT). A car needs its first MOT by the third anniversary of its registration, and a driver can test up to a month, minus a day, early and keep the same date (GOV.UK). So the two waves come round every year.
DVSA's own counts bear it out: January to March was the busiest quarter for car and van MOTs in each of the five years to March 2026 (DVSA). UK interest in "MOT near me" ran above its yearly average in both March and September every year between 2022 and 2025 (Google Trends).
The searching starts before the due date. DVSA's free reminder service texts or emails drivers a month before a car's MOT is due (GOV.UK), and "when is my MOT due" gets about 90,500 searches a month. Your profile and MOT page need to be ranking before the reminders go out, not once the bays are already full.
You are one of 23,092 private MOT stations in Great Britain, as counted for the year to March 2026 (DVSA), and none may charge more than £54.85 for a car (GOV.UK). The bigger job is what the test finds: 27.5% of that year's 33.3 million car and van MOTs failed first time on at least one defect.
Under "MOT near me", Google lists drivers' own questions: what an MOT should cost, whether 2mm of tread will pass and how many days early you can book. Your MOT page should answer all three, and your profile photos should show the blue sign with three white triangles that marks an approved test centre (GOV.UK).
A fee per booking, a commission per job or a monthly subscription, depending on the site and the plan. Each of the three below publishes how it charges garages and mechanics.
If a site's bookings more than cover its charges, keep it. But far more drivers search for the job than for a platform: "bookmygarage" gets about 18,100 searches a month, "MOT near me" about 110,000. On a phone in Norwich on 20 October 2026, that search showed three local garages in the map and mostly MOT directories and booking sites beneath. The map is where you can still beat the platforms, and a booking made from your own profile carries no per-booking fee.
Drivers pay nothing to book. Its terms say it charges the garage "a fixed or variable fee for Services booked via the site". Its Accelerate package costs from £149 + VAT a month, and BookMyGarage says Accelerate garages receive 70% of its booking volume.
Its garage plans, sold under the FixMyCar name, cost £250, £499 or £999 a month + VAT, with no fee taken from jobs won. The Starter plan is £120 a month + VAT plus a 10% flat fee on jobs won, after a £99 + VAT sign-up fee.
Free to join, with no monthly fee. ClickMechanic takes commission on each booking a mechanic accepts, completes and gets paid for, and its help centre says commission rates can vary depending on the job.
A tyre shop wins the drivers who can reach its forecourt. A mobile fitter wins the ones whose car isn't going anywhere, often late at night. So the profile, the pages and the hours are set up differently for each, and our tyre clients include both.
"Tyre shop near me" gets about 135,000 searches a month, and "Kwik Fit" about 368,000 by name. Part worns, wheel alignment and puncture repair are each searched separately (18,100, 18,100 and 9,900 a month), so each gets a page. Google's local results take account of the driver's distance from each business (Google), and no chain's budget changes that.
With nowhere for customers to visit, Google says to take the address off your profile and keep the area you list within about two hours' drive. Google still places you at the address you verified with (why), so reaching further takes reviews and pages, not a longer list of towns. How Rescue Tyres did it.
If someone answers at 2am, set the profile's hours to open 24 hours, and only then. The hours field is the place for it: Google's guidelines give "Regal Pizzeria Open 24 hours" as a business name it won't accept. UK searches for "mobile tyre fitting" peaked in December or January in all four years from 2022 to 2025 (Google Trends).
By telling Google, through your category, services and pages, that you valet and detail cars rather than wash them. Car washes are who you share the map with. We searched Google Maps for "car valeting" in Derby on 20 October 2026, and 15 of the top 20 profiles had Car wash as their main category; four had Valeting service.
Drivers use both words. "Car valeting near me" gets about 27,100 searches a month, "car detailing near me" 12,100 and "mobile car valeting near me" 8,100, so your profile and pages use both. Each level of work gets its own page, from a maintenance valet to paint correction or a ceramic coating.
The year has a shape. UK searches for "car valeting" were highest in February or March, and lowest in November or December, in each year between 2022 and 2025 (Google Trends). eMobile Valeting, which goes out to customers across Derby and the East Midlands, had 84 clicks from Google search in June 2026 and 294 in September, up 250% (Google Search Console).
Six things, repeated every month and fitted to the jobs your workshop actually does. The profile itself is run the way our Google Business Profile management page describes, and SEO for tradesmen covers the method across trades.
Local SEO and Google Business Profile work is paid on results. There is nothing to pay upfront: you pay nothing until the results we agree with you in writing, before we start, have been met.
Websites, ads and social media are quoted separately after the free analysis. How pay on results works
Tell us your trade and area. We record a short video of where you rank, who is above you and what would have to change. It is yours to keep.
If your market is not winnable, we say so. If it is, we agree in writing what a result is and how it is measured, before anything starts.
Your Google Business Profile, the pages that need to rank, citations and reviews. One business per trade per area, so never your rival as well.
Clicks, calls and where you show up, in your own portal, straight from Google. You pay once the agreed results are met.
There's no published fee. Two of the three UK garage SEO pages we studied for this search list monthly package prices. Ours is set after the free analysis, because it depends on how many garages chase your searches and how strong their profiles look. Local SEO and Google Business Profile work is paid on results: there is nothing to pay upfront, and nothing until the results we agree with you in writing, before we start, have been met. Beyond the result, the fee is monthly and you can cancel in any month. Walk away before the result and nothing is due at all. Websites, ads and social media are quoted separately after the free analysis. The terms in full
There's no date we'd put our name to, because Google's pace isn't ours to set. It turns on the garages around you: how many chase the same searches, how long their profiles have been gathering reviews and how far behind yours starts. The portal shows your figures moving, or not, every month. If progress is slow, that's our cost: no invoice arrives until the agreed result does.
Not if they compete with you. We take on one garage per area, so the workshop chasing the same drivers can't sign up as well. If a nearby garage signed up first, you'll hear that at the start.
Not while its bookings pay for what it charges. Run your own profile alongside it and compare what each brings in: ask new customers how they found you, and watch the calls and clicks from Google in your portal. The free analysis shows who takes the MOT and service searches around you today.
Yes. Servicing, repairs, tyres and diagnostics are searched in their own right, and Park Royal Tyres, in the results above, doesn't run MOT tests at all. If you arrange MOTs for customers through a partner test centre, an MOT page still has a place, provided it says plainly where the test is done.
Yes. "Mobile mechanic near me" alone gets about 40,500 searches a month. Google treats you as a service-area business: the address comes off the profile and you list the areas you cover. You won't rank equally everywhere you drive to, because Google still works from the address behind the profile, so the analysis shows where you can realistically win. Two of the four client profiles above are mobile tyre fitters. Setting up without premises
Not in the same way. In Northern Ireland, MOTs are carried out by the Driver and Vehicle Agency at its 15 test centres, and private cars are first tested at four years old (Department for Infrastructure). So there is no MOT bay to fill, but servicing, repairs, tyres and valeting work the same way, and so does the rest of this page.
Nobody can promise that honestly. A "near me" search is answered from where the driver is, so a garage can top the map at its own gates and drop out of it a couple of miles away. The analysis shows where you appear across the streets you serve today, and which ground is realistic to take.
Yes, if the site works. We improve sites we didn't build as long as they are sound, and we work around any online booking you already take. If the site itself is losing you bookings, the video will show it, and a rebuild is priced separately; it isn't paid on results. Rebuilding a site without losing its calls
Send us your town and the work you want to fill the bays with, whether that's MOTs, servicing, repairs, tyres or valeting. We'll record a short video of your local map, in your inbox inside two working days, showing which garages, chains and booking sites take those searches today and what would lift you above them. The video stays yours with no strings attached, and if your patch can't be won, that is what it will say.
